On June 28, 2019, the First District Health Unit Board of Health approved and adopted the First District Health Unit Requirements for Facilities Including Lodging, Tanning and Child Care Center Establishments. This document contains the operating requirements for all Lodging, Tanning and Child Care Centers located in the seven counties of the First District Health Unit.
This document became effective on January 1, 2019. All new facilities must be in compliance with these regulations prior to receiving a license to operate. Those facilities licensed by the First District Health Unit prior to January 1, 2019 will be evaluated for compliance with these regulatioins beginning January 1, 2019.
