The First District Alcohol Program works to reduce adult binge drinking and underage drinking by raising awareness, supporting the efforts of law enforcement, and encourage proven policies. First District is also committed to reducing the effects of the opioid epidemic on our communities.

First District provides a full range of immunizations, also known as vaccinations or shots, to help protect people of all ages. As with most services at First District, appointments are usually necessary.

Tobacco use is a chronic disease. It is the number one cause of death and disability in the United States, and here in North Dakota. First District Health Unit takes a comprehensive approach to reducing the impact of tobacco products and secondhand smoke, including resources and support for quitting, assistance in developing tobacco policies for schools, businesses and communities, updating medical providers and partnering with other community leaders.
