Limited Services Available Due To COVID-19
First District Health Unit Drive-Through Exchange
The First District Health Unit Good Neighbor Project will offer a drive-through syringe exchange Fridays from NOON to 4:00PM, beginning April 24th, 2020.
To participate, bring your Syringe Exchange ID and your biohazard bucket with used syringes. you must be an existing SSP client. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, no new clients will be seen at this time.
When entering the parking lot, drive past the main doors toward Door B and stop at the orange cones ( or line up behind the car ahead of you.) An SSP nurse will either come to your vehicle and have you place the biohazard bucket into a red bag or will accompany you to the syringe kiosk for disposal of used syringes. For everyone’s safety, the nurse will be wearing personal protective. You will be given your supplies and sent on your way. We will not be testing for HIV or Hep C at this time.

The First District Health Unit Good Neighbor Project will offer a syringe exchange clinic Wednesdays from 1:00PM to 3:30PM, beginning May 27th, 2020. Clients are encouraged to wear a mask or face covering.
To participate, bring your Syringe Exchange ID and your biohazard bucket with used syringes. *Limited* new client appointments are available during clinic hours. We will not be testing for HIV or Hep C during the clinic but can refer you to our family planning program to schedule a testing appointment.

The Minot Good Neighbor project is a community-based public health prevention program providing harm reduction services to people who inject psychoactive drugs. It has been approved by the North Dakota Department of Health.
